How are deadlines established in the different announcements?

  • According to calendar days: Including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

  • According to working days: Excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

  • According to months and years: From date to date, as from the following day after the publication. The last date for submission will correspond to the number of day (counting months or years) when the announcement is published. If no equivalent day is available, the deadline will be the last day of the month.

  • Setting a specific date.

For all established periods, if the final date is not a working day, it will be extended to the first following working day.

When does the calculation of deadlines start?

In compliance with Act 30/1992,1992 of November 26th, amended by Act 4/1999 of January 13th: as from the following day after the publication of announcement.

What happens if the announcement deadline is indicated according to days, not specifying whether these are working or calendar days?

It will be understood as working days.

What happens if the last day of the deadline is a non-working day?

It will be extended to the first following working day.

Is the same calendar used for working days throughout the country?

No. Working days depend on national and local holidays of the region where applicable. Holidays of the different Autonomous Communities can be checked on the the Ministry of Public Administration's website. Local holiday's calendars for the Valencia Community locations can be checked in the Department of Economy, Treasury and Employment's website.
