Stages follow-up

The procedure for the selection of civil servants consists of a consecutive series of stages to be fully completed as follows:

  • Public job posting.
    Annual posting in an official newspaper including the positions that will be announced later, reserving no less than 5% of these positions for the disability shift. They remain PENDING OF ANNOUNCEMENT until requirements and term opening are published. Only the total number of jobs is indicated, not mentioning whether they will be of open shift, disability shift or of internal promotion.

  • Requirements and term opening.
    Posting in an official newspaper indicating the professional category, the number of jobs, the shift and the conditions the applicant should meet, as well as the description of the selection process. It also indicates SUBMISSION OPENING AND DEADLINE

  • Provisional list of selected/excluded applicants.Deadline for statements.
    IBEGINNING OF COMPETITION STAGE. This is the posting in an official newspaper indicating admitted and excluded applicants with reasons for exclusion. The posting indicates the term, generally 10 working days, for amending formal errors and/or statements to the published lists.

  • Appointment of board. This is the posting in an official newspaper indicating the list of people who will assess applicants' tests and merits. In case of abstention or challenging from any of the members, the change of board will be published later.

  • Final list of selected/excluded applicants and examination date. Deadline for appeal.
    This is the posting in an official newspaper indicating the list of admitted and excluded applicants from the selection process once the statements were submitted by applicants, indicating, for general purposes, DATE AND TIME OF EXAM and applicants' ORDER OF CALL. In some processes, a preliminary test or Spanish test for foreigners may take place.

  • List of approved applicants (competition stage)Term for the submission of documents for the assessment of merits. Term for appeal (posting in bulletin boards and/or websites indicating requirements, listing approved applicants in qualifying tests. Applicants are called to SUBMIT MERITS valued in the stage of the public examination.

  • Public examination stage scoring Deadline for statements.
    It is the posting in the bulletin boards and/or websites indicating requirements, listing score obtained in each section of the ASSESSMENT OF MERITS indicated in requirements. Ten working days are generally given for amending errors and/or statements.

  • Final scoring Competition and examination stages
    .Pending to be published in DOCV. Deadline for statements appeal (posting in bulletin boards and/or websites indicating board's decision appointing SELECTED APPLICANTS according to the number of announced jobs and the announcement of dispatch for publication in official newspaper.

  • Final list of approved applicants. Deadline for submission of documents. Deadline for appeal.
    Posting in official newspaper indicating the selected applicants who will have to justify the abovementioned requirements within 20 working days.

  • Available positions. Posting in bulletin boards, official newspaper and/or websites indicating requirements, listing the positions available for applicants.

  • Announcement for approved applicants' selection of position. Deadline for appeal.
    Posting in official newspaper indicating the date when the selection of the position will be held.

  • Award of position and date for appointment/end of appointment. Deadline for appeal.
    Posting in official newspaper indicating awarded positions for each of the applicants. Generally indicating date for appointment/end of appointment

  • Appointment
    Posting in official newspaper indicating the appointment of applicants as civil servants. Valid since the date of appointment.
