Responsible declaration regarding the start of activity and communication associated to the activity as a travel agency. - GVA.ES

IMPORTANT: This procedure for travel agency activity has two forms associated with it, which, as they correspond to different stages in the procedure, should NOT be submitted together: 1. To start the activity, all that is required is to fill in the form for the Responsible Declaration at Start of Activity as Travel Agency (Appendix I). 2. For any type of communication relating to a travel agency that is ALREADY registered in the Tourism Register (Appendix II). Travel agencies must immediately notify any change in the guarantee to the conselleria (regional ministry) responsible for tourism (Appendix II). When an agency wishes to register establishments other than its main office, it may notify the conselleria responsible for tourism, together with the accreditation of its physical or legal personality if said accreditation has not already been submitted to the administration (Appendix II). - Travel agencies whose headquarters are located in the Comunitat Valenciana. The responsible declaration at the start of the activity of the main office is obligatory in order to carry out the activity (Appendix I). - Travel agencies legally established in another autonomous community. They may provide their services and open establishments freely in the Comunitat Valenciana to carry out their activity without the need to present the communication relating to travel agency activity. The department responsible for tourism may verify, through administrative cooperation mechanisms, that travel agencies established in other autonomous communities are covered by the insurance or guarantee required in the autonomous community of origin. -Travel agencies legally established in other member states of the European Union. They may provide services in the Comunitat Valenciana under the freedom to provide services without the need to present the communication relating to travel agency activity. When they wish to open their first establishment other than their main office in the Comunitat Valenciana, and if they do not have establishments in another part of the national territory, they must present a declaration that they have constituted a financial guarantee in accordance with current provisions. For these purposes, the financial collateral taken out in the Member State where it is established will be deemed to be equivalent in terms of its purpose. When the travel agency in question has opened its first establishment, apart from its main office, in another autonomous community, the provisions of Article 8.1 of the decree regulating the activity of travel agencies in the Comunitat Valenciana will apply. The department responsible for tourism may verify, through administrative cooperation mechanisms, that agencies from other member states are covered by the guarantee required by the member state of establishment or by the autonomous community in which they opened their first establishment.
